The Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce actively supports education. Scholarships are given annually to Delmar High School seniors.
In 1991 the Chamber instituted a permanent annual scholarship.
In 1996, to give tribute to a lifetime of service, the chamber renamed the annual scholarship in honor of Dr. Wayne C. Bastian upon his retirement as Superintendent of Delmar Schools.
In 2004 the Chamber increased the number of scholarships available from the fund --- adding the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship and the Faculty Recognition Scholarship
In 2006 the Chamber facilitated a special scholarship on behalf of the Friends of Jodi Reed Memorial Scholarship in remembrance of the untimely passing of this Delmar Alumni.
The Scholarships are open to only Delmar High School Seniors, check with the high school guidance office for guidelines and criteria on applying for these scholarships.
