Music
Delaware Music School The Delaware Music School (DMS) is a non-profit community music school founded in 1981 by a group of parents concerned that most of the arts related programs in local school were no longer a part of the curriculum. Approximately 250 students annually take private and group instruction six days a weeks in voice, guitar, violin, viola, cello, piano, organ, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, Suzuki piano and violin and Kindermusik. Outreach, supplemental programs and performance opportunities enrich both the students and the communities they entertain. These include culturally diverse bi-lingual and multi-cultural programming, music theory classes, recitals, concerts and jazz-jam trips, the opportunity for local residents to nurture their love of music through participation in the Milford Community and Dance Bands and the DMS String Orchestra.
