Delmar

Mason - Dixon Marker
The Mason-Dixon Line surveyed by Charles Mason and Jermiah Dixon between 1763 and 1767, creating the dividing line that formally separated free and slave states was established in 1768. Marked today with the historic double crownstone marker, it represents the middle point of the Survey. 6.5 miles west on Route 54 from the center of Delmar.

19th century Highball Signal
The Signal was used to indicate the condition of the railroad track by raising and lowering a large white ball. Located next to the Delmar Caboose on Railroad and Main Street.

Fenwick Island

Observation Tower
Used in the coastline defense in World War II. Located at the northern end of the Fenwick Island State Park. (302)539-9060.

Delmar Caboose
The railroad era is preserved at what was the terminus of the Delaware Railroad and the Eastern Shore Railroad in 1859. Railroad Street, Delmar. Railroad artifacts are also housed at the Delmar Library, 101 N. Bi-State Boulevard, Delmar.

Fenwick Island

DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum

Georgetown

Treasures of the Sea Exhibit
A permanent collection of artifacts and treasure from a 1622 shipwreck off the coast of Florida. The galleon, Nuestra Atocha, was discovered in 1985 and drew national attention. Delaware Tech. The Indian River Life Saving Station Museum and Historic Site

Zwaanendael Museum
A replica of City Hall from Hoorn, The Netherlands, which was dedicated in 1931 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the 1st settlement in what is now Delaware.
