Local
Governor's Walk
A riverside walk along the banks of the Broadkill River through downtown Milford dedicated for the stateman sons of Milford

Lewis - Rehoboth Canal
Included here under parks, because it is not strictly a natural attraction. The Canal was created when Lewes Creek was dredged and deepened as a passable waterway, connecting the Delaware Bay at Roosevelt Inlet with Rehoboth Bay.

Milton Memorial Park
Offering a place to relax, play with the kids, fish from the new pier in downtown Milton.


State
Cape Henlopen State Park
On the water where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. This 3000 acre park near Lewes has the famous "walking" sand dunes, nature trails with guides, a nature center, camping bathhouses, tennis, recreation areas and areas for surf fishing and swimming. It is the home of the "great walking dune", the W.W.II Towers, The Seaside Nature Center and Biden Environmental Training Center. (302)645-8983.

Delaware Seashore State Park
The State of Delaware has major coastal areas reserved for public use, including the section south of Dewey Beach to Indian River inlet. Just north of the Inlet there are usually surfers riding the waves. (302)227-2800.

Fenwick Island State Park
Situated between the popular resort towns of Bethany Beach to the north and Fenwick Island and Ocean City to the south, Fenwick Island State Park is a relaxing escape from the summer crowds. This three-mile stretch of barrier island is a playground of sand, surf, and sun along Delaware's Atlantic coast. (302)539-9060.

Holts Landing State Park
The 203-acres area contains a variety of beautiful landscapes, from bay shore beach to grassy fields and hardwood forests. Located on Indian River Bay, it actually includes the 97 acre Assowoman Canal that connects the Bay with Little Assawoman Bay. (302)539-9060.

Trap Pond State Park
This is one of Delaware's first state parks and a reserve for the northern most stand of Bald Cypress trees in the United States. Home of the Bald Cypress Nature Center.(302)875-5153.
