There are two public utilities serving Delmar:
Conectiv Power Delivery and the Delaware Electric Cooperative.
Delaware Electric Cooperative is a member
owned electric copperative headquartered
in Greenwood, DE providing service to 54,000
throughout, primarily, rural Kent and Sussex counties.

Water/Wastewater
Adequate surface and groundwater is available to meet the projected demand for fresh water. In Sussex County, ground water is used exclusively. Sewer service is available in the incorporated areas of the town.
